Sterlington announced today that Fran Mehaffey has joined the firm’s Private Wealth practice as an estate and fiduciary accountant. Mehaffey brings more than 40 years of experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, estates, trusts, and private foundations. Previously, he was Manager, Tax Services at Fiduciary Trust International. His arrival brings the Private Wealth team to 19 professionals.

At Sterlington, Mehaffey prepares and reviews individual income, gift, estate and trust, and private foundation tax returns, as well as returns for charitable remainder unitrusts, charitable remainder annuity trusts, and charitable lead trusts. He also works with clients to develop tax planning strategies. Mehaffey is an Enrolled Agent, authorized to practice before the IRS and state tax authorities.
Sterlington’s Private Wealth team advises ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and closely held businesses on estate planning, wealth transfer, tax strategy, and succession planning.
The Private Wealth team is primarily based in Philadelphia and serves clients nationwide.
